Realistically, do I have a chance?

My SAT score is 2200
i recieved a 760 on the French Subject Test and 780 on the Lit subject test

My perdicted IB grade is 38, with 766 in my Higher Levels

no class rank avaliable, most likely in top 10%

Extracirriculars are as follows:
Model United Nations (leadership role)
Key Club (leadership role)
Film Club (leadership role)
School Newspaper
DECA Club
UNICEF Club
500 + Volunteer hours

too abbreviated to fully appraise.

remember, speaking in terms of tangibles, worse (than you) have been admitted, and better rejected.

I think columbia is realistic for you. Your grades and scores will guarantee you a holistic review, but the information you posted is not standout. Your EC’s are satisfactory, but you didn’t write a three novel book series or summit mt. everest. You’ll have a better chance than most, but from the info you posted, it’s no sure shot.

I would say ur scores are fine but nothing stands out… make yourself different from everyone else…

Do you have any hooks? Like URM, ect? If so, well then your chances are pretty high!! (:

scores are good enough, so really put care into the application and show them that Columbia is where you want to be. might be helpful to apply ED

You certainly have a chance, as your test scores are slightly better than average for Columbia. But only 6% of applicants are admitted, so make sure you make yourself a unique and attractive applicant. Play up your strengths, passions, and academic curiosity. Your scores definitely don’t disqualify you, but they won’t get you into Columbia.
