So for my school, the credits on my transcript go by 5.00 per class per semester or 2.5 for per quarter (only used really for sports). But I was looking at the example that UW put out and their numbers are 1 or less than one per semester/quarter. Is there a difference between that? I already input all my credit information into the College Academic Distribution Requirements for my application, so I was just wondering if I did it correctly? And if not how do I convert them?

Semester classes are 1.5x the quarter credits. So a 5-credit semester class would count as 7.5 credits at UW. I’m not sure about your 2.5 quarter credits…probably keep them the same, if they are quarter credits. I went to a school before that had a strictly semester system.

I have your same question. Each class at my school gives 5.00 credits per semester, 10.00 credits for a full year course.

On my app, I put each semester as “5.0” but I haven’t submitted my app yet.

Anyone have an answer?

I believe on the UW app, there is a little box/tab that tells you how many credits are assigned to each class; if your school is based on a semester based schedule you would assign .5 credits for each class, if it was trimester based, it would be .33 credits. Hope that answered your question.
