How come registration is not allowing me to sign up for four 5-credit classes? Is there a limit of how many credits freshmen can take per quarter?? If so what is the limit?

Full time is 12-18 credits

You have to get advisors permission to take more classes and there is a fee for each credit over 18. And this applies to everyone not just freshmen.

You also have to wait until the next registration period before adding extra credits, since the school wants to give everyone a chance to register for classes.

We are in Registration Period II right now.

So even with an advisors permission, you have to wait until Registration Period III?

I don’t know about if you have an advisors permission… but it’s worth finding out!

I’ve heard that the max number of credits for a UW student is 35 though.

okay. thanks it was very helpful!!

also, are there any good 3 credit classes that freshmen should take??

Are you trying to max out your schedule?

@SophieGermain: yes, i am trying to take as much classes I can so I won’t have to worry about graduating on time.
