So I'm playing on Xbox live on Thursday. I'm sick as crap...sneezing, coughing, the whole bit. So I'm having a casual conversation between me and this other kid who sounds about my age. And he was sneezing and coughing, and sounded plugged up.

First of all, both of our screen names started with the same first 3 letters. Coincidence? probably....

We got to talking more, and this is what we have in common:

-Both in the same grade
-Birthdays are 3 days apart
-Both about same height
-Want to major in the same thing (architecture).....i got his myspace later and confirmed most of this stuff...
-On his myspace there is a picture, and he was wearing the exact same shirt that I had on
-Don't ask how it came up, but we both have small hands...some tool started to argue that the size of your hands correlates to the size of another appendage on a males body...which isn't true because I have small hands...but i'm not "small"
-We both have the same shoe size (11)
-Both have relatives that drive racecars

We actually look somewhat alike. He has longer hair than me, but if I didn't know either of us, I'd say we were cousins or something (going off of looks).

It was creepy how much we are alike. I'm from Nebraska, he's from Maryland. I was starting to wonder if I have a long lost twin.

Not much of a point to this thread, just thought I'd share it with you guys. Anyone else have something like this happen?

Yes, I’m a guy, and I’m pretty sure he’s not a pedo. I messaged some of his friends just to see what would happen, and they seem like legit teenagers. I know…how shocking o_O

There were too many pictures of him w/friends for it to be fake. Why would people make it up? (besides pedo’s). What does a 16 y/o have to gain by making up a bunch of stuff to another kid he’s never met?

no…we didn’t talk about it…some other kid in the game lobby was. the only appendages I was talking about was my hands (i was talking about playing football…I also long-snap and it’s harder to hold the ball if you have smaller hands)…i wasn’t talking about #$*#s with another dude over xbox…that’s just gay.

but we did have to put up with the random dbag that was

well when u take into account all the millions of things that are DIFFERENT about you, it’s really a rather small percentage of things that are similar. The same goes for ID twins. The main problem is that we use confirmation bias, we basically find more evidence to support our theory and ignore the rest. So while ID twins may have married and divorced twice, own the same kind of dog, and both love ketchup with mayonaise idk, and those are the only thing that we learn about these 2 people, there are 1000000 differences to each similarity that were not published.

^ Sure but statistically speaking, if you compare the chances of having that many things in common with multiple complete strangers, him having so much in common is actually quite rare I’d think.
