Really worried, need some insight

Hi, I want to transfer to Michigan State for 2015, and they wanted to wait until my 2nd semester grades come in so I would reach the minimum requirements. (28 Credits, English and Math Equivalent)

My first semester, I ended with a 3.2, and the person in charge of reading admissions said that was a great start as they heavily prefer people with over a 3.0 when doing admissions, and said my chances were great, I finished with 4 B’s and an A.

This semester, I’m confident I ended with 2 A’s and 1 B, but in my math class, I might end up getting a C, which looks really bad on paper, I’m almost 100% that I’ll still have over a 3.0, but that letter grade just looks so disgusting to me, my professor and I are trying to work something out that I can do to at least get a B letter grade.

So I guess, what do you guys think? If I still have over a 3.0 will my chances still be really good? I’m scared, and it’s my one chance to get into a state school and I’ve struggled with math since I was in 8th grade, I always came in early with a personal tutor and studied for 3 hours coming in for the final exam, and extensively the nights before, but I still ended up doing poorly. I just feel like I messed up bad.

boomp

bumpppppppppppppp

bump anybody?

It sounds like it should be fine as long as you stay over a 3.0. I think colleges are more concerned with the overall numerical GPA than the individual grades that contribute to it. Plus it sounds like it’s just one C, which shouldn’t kill your chances. It’s not like you’re coming across as a C student.
