Reapplicants 2014

Not an option for me. Can’t go without my meat.

Not just one day a week? To save the world? :)

Possibly? If it was a question of saving the world? But no way.

Don’t want to get into a debate here, eating cows help the environment(kinda) in the fact that they produce much of the methane in the atmosphere.

Stargirl NMH has fantastic meatless Mondays plus vegan options all the other days. You should add it to your list! Rumored to have the best food of all the boarding schools (They have rolling admissions too)

The vegan options at NMH on revisit day were very tasty. They had the best food of the schools we toured.

I’ve looked at NMH, I might look again…

I added them to my Gateway list. Now I’m just waiting for an application fee. Food will do it, guys! Do you know if I can find their menu online?

Disclaimer: I’ve known it’s a great school, and I have their viewbook, I just needed a push in the right direction.

[post=13631665] NMH is an incredible school[/post], and I would agree, it serves some of the best food. The kids tap the maple trees and make and sell their own syrup and ice cream. The dining hall served mussels (not vegan, I know) the day we visited. For that alone, DS was almost persuaded. BTW, Choate has Meatless Mondays and plenty of vegetarian options. And, if sustainability and your impact on the planet is important to you, check out Choate’s [Kohler Environmental Center](Choate Rosemary Hall's Kohler Environmental Center a unique space (video, photos)).

I agree, NMH has great food.

It’s too late for Choate, isn’t it? :(

Yes, but there is always next year for reapplicants. It’s my job as ChoatieMom to shamelessly plug Choate whenever possible. ;)

NMH food was great.
I don’t remember which school but students said they get creative with food. Between the salad bar and toaster/panini machine, they can create all kinds of food. ;)

I have a friend at Hotchkiss who said that too. I’m pretty sure most schools have decent, if not good, or great, food.
