reason why the email means nothing

<p>too many people with low stats (myself included) are getting the "worth the wait" email, and everyone should know by now how competitive this year is
sorry to ruin everyone's hopes
i have 3.5 uw gpa, no hooks/leaderships whatsoever
most boring applicant ever=/
reject at ucsd,ucla</p>

<p>so i think it is best to not get your hopes up just because we got emails, it's time to let this whole email thing go</p>

<p>(although i do feel like emailing berkeley about how mean and unnecessary "we're worth the wait" part is)</p>

<p>I really hope you're right...but I think too many people are NOT getting the email, so I'm not sure if it'd be likely that we all had email glitches...plus, the other people at my school who didn't get the email aren't really people you'd expect to get into Berkeley.</p>

<p>How was your app? Did you have a lot of extra curriculars? What did you write for your personal statements?</p>

my gpa is 3.0 UC and 1930 SAT
i saw someone with a 1250 total SAT get into ucla as well, so don't lost hope yet~</p>

<p>3.8 UW, 1940 SAT, no major EC's. OOS!!!1111 definite no-no.</p>

<p>OOS. rejected from UCLA. no hope here, though i would have really liked it to be a 'likely.'</p>

<p>people have to realize that not many colleges have specified ONE DATE to release decisions and it's SUPER stressful checking the status page everyday. i really think this was just a headups, b/c UCLA's came out of no where.</p>

<p>2 people I know who has less than 1500 (out of 2400, of course) and 2 that had over 1800 (1890, 1920) ALL GOT IN. I got rejected, though. =/</p>

<p>You have to understand their "holistic" and "comprehensive review" evaluation.</p>
