Reason You Wanted To Go To A Boarding School?

My parents really really really don't want me to even try out for a boarding school. After months of begging, my mom has finally given me a chance to convince her that I should be able to try out...

I know that she will ask me why I want to go to a boarding school. I really want to go because I want to have that experience of getting away from my normal life where I am, and I can get away from my home...(I hate my school, and my parents are never around anyways).

Another reason I want to go to a boarding school is because it will probably improve my chance to get into a good college... I'm not afraid to say that, and for some reason I think that was one of the reasons for a lot of you guys.

My parents will definitely not go for any of that especially the second and third reason, so what are the things that attracted to boarding schools?
I really want to know so I can convince my parents to give me a try,

thanks in advance...

There are so many opporutunities is’s unbelieveable from clubs to sports to all the sports you get the chance to play. It’s incredible…or so I have heard :D

there are so many more oppurtunities there, coming from a state with not too many, i have a chance to go so much further there than i can here. another incentive for me, was moving away from home, my sister is leaving for college next year, and there is no way i would be able to be home alone for three years! though thats not a very good reason to present to your parents. good luck!

Im going because of all the opportunities and its just kind of the thing we do in my family

I’m going because A.) it’s new and different B.) I will be with people who, like me, enjoy being at school/working for what they want. C.) Opportunities, haha.

Boarding school prepares you for college and life and opens up so many opportunities… if you’re passionate about a sport or art, boarding schools are really for you. They’re usually very involved in those things, especially the top ones.

Well that’s what i know from my brother who goes to a boarding school. He absolutely loves it there. Apparently it’s amazing living with friends, because they are just like family to him. You’ll make lifelong friendships, there’s more teacher-student relationships. and you’ll still visit home a lot of course.

Boarding School really is like college, because nothing is really set in stone so you might find yourself having free time during very odd time periods. For example your best friend might be having class at 1:00 but your first class doesn’t start until say 2:30, that leaves time to do homework in between or go into town. :)

Amazing peers who are all passionate about learning + teachers who are all passionate about what they teach = perfect combination!

Also for the opportunities, as everyone else says, to explore new things and places.

And of course obviously because it helps with getting into the college I want (not going to deny it!), which would help secure my career & future (given I supplement it all with lots of hard work  )!

I personally think it would be the most significant thing that would change my life for the better, as of now.

I want to go so I can get an excellent education that’s well-rounded and challenging - something that’s nearly impossible to find where I live.
