So I've already selected one teacher, my Academic Decathlon coach and AP Lang teacher, to do one rec letter; I've had him every year of high school (plus in a summer class before ninth grade), and he probably knows me the most thoroughly as a student and as a person out of all teachers. Plus he's a great guy and a great writer.

I'm having trouble deciding on my second rec letter, though:

Teacher 1 is our Rotary Club adviser (or is it advisor? :P). I think she can vouch for what I did as VP and President as well as my involvement in the club from 10-12 grade. But she was also my 9th grade English teacher, so I don't know if I should get two teachers from the same department, as I don't intend on majoring in English.

Teacher 2 was my Junior year AP Physics teacher. As I plan on majoring in a science related field, I think she can provide some insight on my performance in her class, and interest and curiosity in the subject. (I felt satisfied with how well I did in her class and the AP Physics exams, if that helps)

Pretty much both teachers will probably write similar things regarding my character/personality/behavior. The main dilemma here is the "different" skills they witnessed firsthand. Which one seems better? Or should I reconsider my coach's letter for "practicality"? Or should I even try just having three letters at my disposal, although I've heard that 3 might be a bit too much..

Sorry for the long read, but any advice is greatly appreciated!
