How well regarded is the program here? I am going to be in the sports management concentration. Is it a good major?

It’s definitely one of the more fun majors lol. The people I know in it really seemed to stress the recreation part in all aspects of their lives. As far as I know the program is decent. Like most majors, it’s really what you make of it. I think that especially with liberal arts majors, it’s really important to get involved early. Join clubs for your major, volunteer or get internships as soon as you can. That whole “freshman year is for getting used to college so don’t worry too much about jobs/internships” is BS.

Thanks so much! and what do you mean about the “stressing recreation” part?

they like to party lol

wilson2 i applied for the same major but have yet to hear back. out of curiousity… what was your gpa and overall composite scores?

I applied with a 4.06 Cal Poly GPA (3.86 unweighted)
1280/1600 SAT Score
And 26 ACT

I applied for this major as well! Let me know when you guys find out :)

Do you know if it’s a good major?

So you decided not to apply for Kinesiology, Wilson2? Have you been accepted Early Decision?

No I didn’t because I had about 2 percent of getting in they recommended that I change it to my alternate major because they really want me to go there!

Okay, I understand. By the way, who is “they?” Your h.s. counselors or college advisor? Best wishes to you!

Just got accepted! Anyone else?
