Hi everyone,

I'm a community college student planning to transfer to UCLA as a Chemistry major. Right now (Fall 2011 Semester) i am currently taking the first calculus-based Physics for science and engineering majors.

Due to outside matters such as health, I have missed some important lectures causing me to have a borderline D/C grade in the class with only the final left for me to take. In order to pass the class I have to score at least a 74% on the final. My question for you all is should I just drop the class and take a "W"? or should i risk it and attempt to score the 74% on the final to pass the class?

By the time I transfer, which is in 2012, I:
Will be TAP/Honors Certified
Will have completed Calculus 1,2, and 3
Wil have completed General Chemistry 1 and 2
Will be IGETC Certified
Plus Extracuricculars, Jobs, Community Service, Campus Involvements, etc
GPA is a 3.82 (This is current gpa)

How much of an impact will a "W" in physics affect me? What happens if i get a D grade in physics (really hoping i dont)?

Any advice is greatly appreciated, Thanks
