Hi,

I received my score report a few days ago and came to an interesting surprise as I read:
“ENG LIT/COMP: 5”
“GOVT&POL US: 5”
“GOVT&POL COMP: *96”

The report later goes on to vaguely detail my *96 as “in process.” I doubt they’re still in the process of reading my exam since I know people all over the country who have already received their score on this exam and my teacher confirmed that the entire rest of my class has already received a score.

So here are my questions:
- Does anyone have an experience with a *96 score?
- Does this mean my score is under investigation? (my teacher has a 98% pass rate for this test and I consistently scored at the top of my class on every test we took this year, so it wouldn’t seem unreasonable that my grade would be chosen for an investigation)
- The report also says I should call AP if I don’t receive a report by September 1st. Is there any possibility that my AP score would actually take this long to sort out? I’m an incoming college freshman and it might hinder my second semester sophomore status (and thus class selections) if I wasn’t to receive my grade in the near future.
