Just informed that my acceptance arrived in the mail this morning!!!!

Congratulations!!!!!

I see you're in the southeast..hoping it makes it to the northeast tomorrow!

Thanks Miss Independent! I'm actually in-state so I'm sure I'm ahead of the average mail.

Congratulations! Still waiting for notification in the Midwest!

yup i got my package today too
btw, im in the south (NC)

Did it come regular mail or FedX. We live 3 hours away and got nothing today - heck I could drive there & pick it up!

No mail, but did receive a personal email from Chancellor Gee! How cool!

I'm all the way on the West Coast, no idea how long it'll take.

Neither my son nor a good friend of his here in East TN have received anything yet. (No Chancellor Gee e-mail either)

Son received a priority mail packet that looks to be for admission today. Only 20 miles from Vandy though.

Does anyone mind telling us what it said in the email? Thanks

BTW Congrats to everyone who got in!!!

ohhh god! im terrified

I've never been so nervous about anything evvverrrrrr

Congrats!!!

Well they gave it away on the outside of USPS priority mailing envelope by putting in huge letters....CONGRATULATIONS. (Not Fed Ex)

Opening paragraph says:

'I am pleased to inform you that your application for admission to the freshman class for the fall of 2007 has been approved. You have been selected from the largest and most qualified applicant pool in Vanderbilt's history.'

Went on to state the usual about how I will enjoy the school and list several reasons.

Closes with what I need to do secure my place (i.e deposit, etc....)

Novice - Thanks for sharing and congratulations again. Did you receive the e-mail too? (I wonder if those who didn't get the e-mail weren't accepted).

I'm from the Midwest, I haven't recieved a letter yet, nor did I recieve an e-mail. Does that imply that I'm pretty much rejected?

^ you're planting paniced, scared, paranoid feelings in my head right now, in this emotionally spaztic state that I'm in haha. =/

just everybody relax and wait until the actual letter comes. Nothing is set in stone even once it does arrive. this year's class was the most diverse and strong in terms of GPA and test scores. So good luck to all, and I know I went to admissions today to lead my tour but they were closed after finally getting all of the letters out. I hope everyone gets what they think they deserve from Vanderbilt, and hopefully i can help so of ya'll as a greek ambassadore and an ambassadore this year and next.

No email sent......Only the mailing.

Thank you. At least that gives us some hope that not getting the e-mail isn't an automatic rejection!
