Decisions are UP!

Got an email.

cute…

international applicants get email notification

I’m in! 10 chars

rejected.
international.

i didn’t relieve any email…i’m scared…howa…

do you guys think it’s b/c i’m international living in US???
maybe they thought they can just snail mail me…

^ Yeah same here, although im pretty sure it means rejection. Sorry to get your hopes down

Why would that mean rejection, Shiven?

An international living in the US? Interesting.

I would assume you’d get snail mail, though.

rejection here too!!
i think i overestimated myself because i got rejected from duke too. 2 in a day is kinda harsh imo. do you guys think that financial aid would be part of the reason for rejections? because i know during the economic downturn first priority would go to US citizens so they might overlook an international applicant if they are asking for aid too.

@fav and @dpattzlover - i was just assuming this bc they said they would send an email by today for international students. And so far from all my colleges i have received an acceptance e-mail way before the snail mail…

@sparky - did you actually receive an email? I haven’t yet… do u live in/out of the U.S.?

My D received a letter from Vanderbilt today. Does Vanderbilt send letter to international students first? Does any regular students received a letter too?

@sparky1991
Admissions are need-blind and they do both processes separately so neither factors in on the other

Lauren - So do they process international first? In term of sending out admission decision?

admissions aren’t need blind for internationals

and no, domestic applicants were mailed yesterday too, just by snail mail

^ For internationals, they are not need-blind…

I wonder if they’ll be need-blind for waitlisted applicants.

“Those international students who demonstrate they can afford the cost of attending Vanderbilt will be given preferential treatment in the admission process.”

So do international kids get thier decisions before everyone else? I’m not international, and I haven’t recieved anything
