Received my Priority Mailing Today!!

Thanks, golfchic144. It seems awfully full to be a rejection. (Rolls eyes) This whole week is crazy-making.

noothing came today in CT for me
i'm assuming rejections and waitlists take longer to be delivered...

Got my acceptance package today. I'm in Central NJ if that helps anyone out concerning delivery dates.

Do understand that the spatial separation between Vanderbilt and where you live isn't the only factor in how long a package stays in transit. Packages could be slowed just because post offices along the route are busy!

waitlisted today

Got my acceptance today in NY!!!!!!! I have never felt so physically ill over something in my entire life, I was so nervous. I just stood in front of my mailbox for a minute before I could convince myself to open it and there it was...I dropped my art project running down my driveway after the fact and got mud on it, but it's all goooood!!

edited to add... aw I'm so sorry Lizzie :( and everyone else...there's still hope though. Good luck to the rest of you still waiting, tomorrow must be the day.

Hmm nothing in CT today.

I hope that's not a bad sign. It seems people still have gotten waitlisted so I think they sent them all out at the same time I'm hoping and it's just the slow postal service. Besides the article says that acceptance and rejection letters were sent out on Monday.

Nothing in southern California either, guess we have to wait till tomorrow...

nickel, I'm in East Tennessee (about 3 hours from Nashville), and S's envelope has only .32 cents' worth of postage, so you're assumption may be correct.

Were acceptances sent priority and "the rest" regular mail? That bodes poorly for those of us awaiting any letters at all.

Received my acceptance package today via USPS priority mail (big envelope)...im on Long Island, NY btw.

You might get your priority mail envelope tomorrow. It takes 2-3 days

ObsessiveDad, it looks that way.:(

I'm so happy for those of you who got good news, and I'll keep all apendages crossed for those who go for the waitlist.

D got her acceptance today in the midwest. Did all of you who were accepted get financial information/scholarship info in the priority package? She got nothing on that.

At my school (and quite a few applied) nobody got anything here in MA. So I think some of the mail is just taking it's time getting to places... so there is hope...

B was accepted . . . at least I assume so, because it's a rather chubby priority mail envelope and it says "Congratulations" across the front of it!

Darn that lacrosse game he has tonight . . . I won't see him till 10:00! And I can't get hold of him to see if it's okay to open it . . . he's not answering his cell

Well, at least we know he got in - Whew! Congratulations to everyone who got in. And good luck to all who are waitlisted . . . spaces WILL open up.

Ok I'm hoping that it takes that extra day to get to the New England states.

First rejection right here.....quite disappointing. The first ever rejection from anything I have ever gotten in my life. Never gotten rejected by a girl, never gotten cut from a sport team/club, so needless to say it was kind of a smack in the face. I knew Vanderbilt was somewhat of a reach for me; however, I still had hope and now it just all crashed down into the ground. Congratulations to everyone who has already been previously accepted, I applaud you all on your amazing academic statistics. I just wish I would have not saved my academic potential until my junior year in high school. Good luck everyone with the whole college experience.

received my acceptance today in southern California

Yeah, got my southern California acceptance today. Good luck to everyone still waiting!
