Last year I told my guidance counselor that I had decided to take a gap year, but she suggested to at least apply to 4 CSU for like a backup plan in case I decided to go to college. I submitted the applications and I got accepted to 3 out of the 4, but I had already decided to take a year off. Also my school requires students to complete the FAFSA application in order to walk on stage in our graduation, I submitted the application and the counselors at my former high school submitted our GPAs to Cal Grant. About a week ago I received and email asking me to claim my award or to submit a school leave of absence. I tried to submit it, but my account states that my Current School of Attendence is CSU Los Angeles, but I wont be attending to any of the 3 colleges that accepted me because I will apply to other colleges this year. I know I will have to renew FAFSA this year and input the new colleges that I applied too. I’m wondering how do I submit a school leave of absence on my cal grant account. or Will I have to reapply for Cal Grant this year?
