I graduated BC in May 2018, and because I miss it dearly, here I am on College Confidential offering advice/tips/etc.
A bit about me for context:
-Psychology major
-Medical humanities major
-MCAS Honors Program (does not exist anymore, unfortunately)
-Lived in on-campus housing all 4 years (Upper Campus as a freshman)
-Did not do a semester of study abroad, but I did do a summer program in Paris
-I had an on-campus job all four years (did not like my freshman year job and had an amazing job sophomore through senior year)
-I was involved with research in the psychology department for 2 semesters
-My high school stats were: 34 ACT and 94 out of 100 GPA (translates to 4.0, unweighted). Involved with Key Club, various volunteer opportunities, varsity softball, and I had a part-time job.
-Middle-class family (I was on A LOT of financial aid); white; female
Please do NOT ask me to chance you. I have no idea how to guess if you can get in to BC or not. My advice is this: compare yourself to stats about current BC students (check College Board) and then just apply! The worst thing that happens is you get a no. But you might just get a yes.
Ok, ask away!
