I have had a clean disciplinary record, except for an incident in March in which I was given three days (two separate incidents, first was one day) of in-school suspension for bypassing my school internet filter. Will this go on my final transcript, and will MIT rescind me for this? Thanks (admissions doesn't know about my suspension yet, if in-school suspension even counts as suspension). Thanks.

I think you’ll be alright. The offense doesn’t sound too serious. Plus, of all the things for which you could have gotten in equal trouble, I have to think that your particular offense will be taken more leniently than average by MIT.

That said, now is not the best time to do things that you might come to regret.

it is extremely important you ask your college counselor about this incident, ask if she notified any colleges.

One of my close friends got RESCINDED from both harvard and upenn wharton because he got suspended for 1 day for not notifying the administration about a student cheating. It is ridiculous, but that is what happened.

I would take every precaution if I were you.
