Recognition Dinner on USS Roosevelt

<p>There was a forum on here a month or so ago about Eagle/Gold Awards. I'll be darned if I can't find it. </p>

<p>Anyway, last night was the Eagle Recognition Dinner for the Class of 2005 on board the USS Theorodore Roosevelt docked at Norfolk Naval Station (or NOB for any natives out there). It was a grand affair with tours of the ship and lots of USNA grads both attending as Sponsors of Scouts and as Officers aboard the ship. </p>

<p>Do any other councils have a similar recognition with an area military base?</p>

<p>Don't know about the scouting angle, but the Hampton Roads USNA Alumni Association is hosting a dinner for the local members of the class of 2010 and their families next week at the officer's club at Oceana. I gather it is a "welcome to the club" event.</p>
