As you probably know from my previous posts, I am 25 years old, I graduated from college 2 years ago and have an LD due to cerebral palsy. Now, I am thinking of taking GRE (not because I have any particular grad. school program in mind, but just to see how I would do and to stroke my ego). Obviously, I want to take it with accommodations (extended time) because I think I would do poorly without. I sent in my disability documentation (neuropsych. report) to the ETS. However, they find the report insufficient since it does not have a complete achievement battery but just the timed fluency parts. (My tester for the sake of saving time did just the fluency parts of the achievement battery). Since the previous tester was up at college 4 years ago and 4 hours away, I need to get a new neuropsych. (maybe just the achievement battery but probably the entire thing all over again). Could you please recommend a good and very importantly cheap neuropsychologist in NYC. I don't really have a job and my parents won't pay for what they perceive as my caprice. There is no way it can be covered by insurance since I have Medicaid at this point. (My other thought is that perhaps a really good neuropsychologist would point me in the right direction in terms of a career).
