Hello whoever stumbles upon this thread! I’m currently 17 year of age, living in Australia. I’ve decided that I want to pursue acting as a career. Everyone has been telling me that it’s a bad decision but nothing has deterred me from wanting to be one. I was supposed to be doing a Bachelor of Arts in English this year, but now I’ve decided to save enough money to study at a drama school in New York. I know of Juilliard and The New School and AADA and AMDA, but can anyone else recommend a good BFA acting program in NY?
There are lots of great programs in Australia, have you researched them? BFA programs in the US run about 60,000/year US dollars including room and board. Juilliard is very competitive, New School has a great program, NYU, Pace – have you acted in high school?
