Recommend some colleges based on my stats

<p>Hi, I'm thinking of applying to BU and Northeastern . I would like to know my chances And also other colleges i should apply to. Preferably in a big city in the North East</p>

<p>16 year old hispanic female, living in puerto rico. (ive only been living here for 3 years, im from new york)
Senior
Gpa :3.8
SAT scores:1610 (i know its bad but i had a major distraction during the test, i know i can get a 1900 minimum)
No AP classes because they dont have them in PR
Top 10% of my school
On honor roll
In national honor society,
president of 4h club
Member of enviornmental club,
in school play
90 hours (and possibly more) of community service
Tutoring elementry school kids Volunteering with pre school kids Volunteering with church organization Interned for 2 summers at christian retreat center in costa rica. ------------</p>

<p>What do you think my chances are? Can you recommend other good colleges?</p>

<p>What do you plan to major in? Your extracurricular activities show no direction of your desired interest, unless you plan to major in Education. The stats you have are average considering you are a minority, and BU and Northeastern might be tough to get into. I recommend looking at the SUNY’s or other state colleges.</p>

<p>Your family budget for college will largely determine where you should apply.</p>

<p>BU and NEU would be very expensive. Ask your parents if they’ll pay for those schools…about $55k+ per year.</p>

<p>Ok…but you’re OOS for all the schools in the 50 states. Your residency is based on where your parents live. If they move back to the states, then you’d be instate for that state after 12 months.</p>

<p>Since your stats are modest, we need to know how much your family will pay. If they won’t pay much, then that will be a problem.</p>

<p>I know it’s frustrating, but the truth is that students with modest stats often are limited to the schools within their areas because they can’t get accepted to the schools with the best aid. </p>

<p>There’s a reason why most American students have to commute to their local CC or state school. They don’t have the funds to go elsewhere. </p>

<p>However, if your parents will pay $55k+ per year for any school, then there are some choices for you.</p>
