Recommendation help

<p>The process of applying to Columbia is really confusing.</p>

<p>So I submitted my application 12/21/09. And I got a receipt on that day too.</p>

<p>When I log in to check the status of my application, this is what it says:</p>

<p>Recommendation Providers:
(first teacher): Notified, 12/26/2009 12:02:00 AM E.S.T.</p>

<p>(cousnelor): Submitted, 1/3/2010</p>

<p>(second teacher: Submitted, 12/30/2009 </p>

<p>I don't care that the counselor and second teacher says "submitted", but what does it mean by "notified"? Has my first teacher sent in my recommendation? I'm so confused. I've tried navigating everywhere on the site and I can't figure it out. Can anyone here help?</p>

<p>I’m not sure, but it says submitted for me for all of them. Did you get an interview or phone call from columbia?</p>
