Recommendation Letter advice

I’m graduating with a bachelor’s degree in May and then I’m planning on doing an accelerated nursing program. I need 1 academic recommendation letter for the program I want to apply to. My problem is that I don’t know how/who to ask for this letter. I’m planning on getting As in 3 of my classes and a B- in another. Only one of my professors knows my name since I’ve been to his office hours 5 times this semester. This is the class I’m probably going to get a B- in though. The other 3 classes that I have As in I sit in the front row of class, but I’ve never been to the professor’s office hours. So I’m not sure if they know my name. I also don’t know how or when to ask for the letter. The application deadline for the program is February 1st. Should I email the professor or go to their office hours? Before the semester ends (Dec. 15th) or after the semester ends (Jan. 8th)? Thanks to anyone who replies with advice! This has been stressing me out.

Probably something you want to do in person.
Usually professors really enjoy when students ask them for recommendation letters.
I would recommend asking someone who will write a positive letter of recommendation and if possible, someone who has some sort of connection with nursing (in any way).
Sciences? Worked in a related field?
They are more likely to write about how good of a fit you may be.

Do it in person, and do one where you are getting a good grade. Go in to their office hours and chat them up. Bring along a copy of your resume/CV to give them, it will give them a decent basis if they don’t know you that well.
