I'm planning on getting a recommendation letter from the hospital I volunteer at. However, I've gotten one before, and it is quite short (only about 5 sentences, 3 paragraphs). However, it's really well written and portrays my volunteer service very well.

However, if they write another one (updated one), and it ends up being the same length, would that be too short?

Thanks!

Oh. And it’s about 9 lines long (without the Please contact me…)…if that helps…

k bump…because I need to talk to them before Wed or Thurs…

ok bump…it’s officially wednesday morning (1 am) where I live…I gotta talk to them soon.

Hmm… I suppose if it is really succient and conveys alot of matter and alot about you in 9 lines, it should be okay… i mean the last thing an adcom wants is if they read on LoR with the same matter in 18 lines…

oh ok.Yeah that makes sense. lol thanks for replying…I was getting desperate.
Also, how should I go about getting the letters? Should I bring them the envelope (filld out/stamped) and have them sign it? Then can I just take it home because I’m thinking of sending it after I submit my application

Thats a question I wanted to ask. I think there’s a space on the common app for extra recos.

seriously? But I doubt my nonteacher recommenders would wanna do online…I think i’m just gonna give em envelope and then see if they’d let me take it home and send it once i submit application…
