Hi,

I really want to ask one professor to write me an recommendation letter, but I got A- at the end. Is it okay to ask recommendation letter from an A- course?

Also, the prof is on her sabbatical.

Can any one give me some advice?

Thanks a lot!

Just some general advice, not limited to just about this recommendation letter: do not let a simple letter grade define your education and how much you’ve learned.

So, the short answer is yes, that is absolutely fine.

(But UC’s don’t want recommendation letters anway)

Thx for responding. I really like this prof and she knows me well. Hahaha

She is on sabbatical. Should I email her for the RL?

Yes email her, also I don’t know if you’re in the sciences but if you are, you’ll realize that if no one could get a rec letter from an A- course then many people would not get letters.

@ dina

Yep, it’s an engineering class. Ur comment is very encouraging. Thx!
