This may seem stupid but I did my research on how the recommendation letters are sent to the universities which I apply to, and I don't really understand it.
I'm applying for the University of Chicago and I need 2 recommendations from my academic-subject teachers. I'm sure that my teachers will write the letters for me, but do I ask them bare hand? Like, no envelopes and anything if the letters are submitted online?
I don't understand how the admission committee knows for whom the recommendation letters are if the letter is sent online by the teachers.
Please tell me how these work, and what should I prepare before asking my teachers.
Thanks

At my school, there are forms that you fill out before giving it to your teachers. Check your counselor’s office for those.

If you’re using Naviance and the Common App, they get a teacher login and can submit the letters with your application.

I use the Common App. So the teachers have theirs own Common app accounts and I don’t have to get them anything to help them writing?
