Recommendation Waiver

<p>I tried to search the forum for an answer to my question but couldn't find anything really after lots of searching so:</p>

<p>For the part of the teacher rec. form that asks you if you waive the right to see the letter after you enroll...is it bad to not sign it?</p>

<p>I think it is. Colleges wouldn't have that on the form if they didn't think that this allows them to get more honest recommendations. They are going to give more credibility to a recommendation with the waiver than one without.</p>

<p>I saw this discussed once in a college application advice book. But now my two are safely ensconced in college and so I gave all those books away.</p>
