Hey all! I have a question regarding what I should do for my math schedule. Currently, I am junior enrolled in my high school's most rigorous math course. However, by following this sequence, I'd go through Calculus I (AB) and then Calculus II (BC) in junior and senior year respectively. Over the summer, I did a loot of Khan Academy, PatrickJMT, etc. Because of that, my teacher and the rest of the math department agreed that I could take Calculus II (BC) this year if I received a 4 or 5 on a practice Calculus AB exam. I've taken 3 parts of the 4 on a practice exam thus far, and I think I will score around a high 4 to mid 5. Now, I think the problem is not whether I can jump up to Calc II but rather IF I should. I feel a bit too confident, but I really think I'll get a high 4 or mid 5. I'll list some pros/cons of testing out of the class.

Pros:
-Might be able to do Astrophysics senior year through dual enrollment (which sounds freaking awesome)...but it's only a small possibility
-Differential equations/linear algebra senior year
-Challenging myself

Cons:
-An insane amount of work (I literally have to catch up on 2 months worth of Calculus II material...trig substitution, integration in physics, etc.)
-Leaving many friends (I'll still see them, but eh...)
-Not able to help around the class (I'm like a teacher's assistant in the class right now)
-Might ruin my math career forever...? Let me explain this one. I want a solid foundation in Calculus, especially because I'm considering Physics in the future. However, if I rush through Calc I, do you guys think I might not have that solid foundation? Would I struggle in the future by not slowing down now? I've always been a strong math student, but D:...!

Thanks all!
