I'm new to this college prof recommendation thing.
I don't know my first grading term profs that well at all...at least not well enough to have them write me recommendations, but I need 2 recommendation letters due early February for some summer internships/research activities. Do I still have time (about a month after school resumes) to 'get to know' my next profs and have them write good recommendation letters?

Thanks...

You don't really have to know them at all, just explain the whole internship thing and ask them to look at your body of work in the class (grades, papers, etc.) for the basis of thier recommendation. If you have an A in a hard class, Im sure they might say some nice things even though they don't really know you as a person...Or you could try to suck up to them a lot in a short amount of time...either probably works. But more seriously, you could ask them for 20 minutes or so of their time to give them more of a feel for you.
