I was planning on getting a recommendation from my chemistry teacher. But he recently got a brain tumor so I’m not really sure if I could get one. I could get it from my calc teacher, except for that I’m kind of known as a slacker with good grades in that class.
Also my counselor is leaving this year, and I kind of know her well. Can I get a rec from her? Would the colleges accept it as the counselor rec? I personally don’t think the new counselor would be a great person to get a rec from since I wouldn’t know him or her very well.
Oh yeah one last thing. Is it better to get a rec from my APUSH teacher or journalism teacher. The latter would confirm my ECs.

<li>Get the teacher rec. from a teacher that loves you and knows you well. The subject s/he teaches is less important.</li>
