recommendations

I am getting a recommendation from my boss at work. Should she write out her recommendation just in paragraph form on a piece of paper? I assume she does not fill out the teacher recommendation form since she is not a teacher, correct?

I would like to know this as well, I was thinking of getting a rec. from my boss.

bump. does anyone have any experience with this?

bump again...someone must know this!!

Ask your guidance counselor at school or the college you're planning to send the rec to. MANY schools do NOT want recs other than those they've specificially asked for.

I've contacted most of my schools and no which ones will/will not accept additional recommendations not from teachers. I am wondering, for those schools, if the recommendation should just be written on a sheet of paper, or a form of some sort like the teacher recommendation form.

bump again...sorry to keep bumping but i need advice!

If you want advice, ask the COLLEGES how they'd like the recs. They're the ones you're trying to please, not us. Different colleges may have different requirements about the format they want as well.

yeah and it's kinda rude to bump every hour or so. everyone wants their questions answered just as you. wait for several hours before bumping, please.

My boss was nice enough to type up a great letter on company leaderhead. He gave me 4 copies so I could send them to the 4 schools out of 6 that will take them. Each letter is addressed to that particluar school. I'm enclosing them with my admission packet. This is how my GC wants it done.
