recommendations.

i have about a handful and a half of teachers that i feel comfortable with enough to write my recommendations for the different colleges i'm applying.
(NC aplying to all in-state schools: streching a little for unc-my top choice,nc state, unc wilmington, standing on my tippy-toes for wake forest or davidson...)

i've already asked 2 of my favorite teachers that i have regular rapport with to write me a recommendation for UNC..they only ask for one, but i've talked to head of admissions, he says 2 or 3 won't hurt...and i have the urge to ask the same 2 teachers to write my other applications' recommendations as well.

basically my question is: would it be unreasonable to ask the same teacher for recommendations more than once? especially if you get on really well. i feel that the 2 i asked are the ones that will make the best recommendations for a matter of reasons...i don't want to ask someone as a second choice...i'm just wondering if anyone else can identify with my dilemma..or maybe has done it before..

i'm feeling unsure right now, and any good insight on recommendations(preferably the subject-matter) would appreciated =]

The teacher will Xerox their rec and staple it to the form letters of the other colleges you’re applying. It’s the common practice and not too much to ask of your teacher.

Future conversation:

You: Thnx for being willing to write a rec letter for me. I’m applying to four colleges that would like a copy. Here are the forms and stamped envelopes.

Teacher: Not a problem. Once I finish it, I’ll get a copy to each of the schools. Good luck!

See how simple it is?
