I got a MacBook Pro a year and a half ago as a Christmas gift. My husband, who doesn’t do much writing on his computer got me “pages” and not MS Office. I’m not at all a fan, mostly b/c anything I write and then want to send via email has to be converted to a doc file. Are any other advantages? Should I bother to get the Office program?

^I wouldn’t buy it just because of the exporting issue. Its a couple clicks versus $100 worth of software that you’ve basically already got. I actually really like pages for writing, especially the full screen view that eliminates all of your background annoyances and just lets you focus on the task at hand. Office '11 is supposed to be pretty nice, but its nothing you haven’t seen before. Get the Office '11 trial version and see how you like it. Might be just what you’re looking for.

here, I found a link to the hardshell case I just got with my new MBP yesterday. I like the case! Here: [Incase 13" Hardshell Case White Unibody MacBook - Apple Store (U.S.)](<a href=“Incase 13 Hardshell Case White Unibody MacBook - Apple”>Incase 13 Hardshell Case White Unibody MacBook - Apple) There are other colors too, but I got aqua.

how about getting a refund, a pc laptop at half the price, and save the money to take your boyfriend out to dinner?

^Sounds reasonable. Maybe too reasonable…
