I was wondering if anyone could tell me if an undergrad applicant can send a music recording to be reviewed by NU's music department.

Please let me know! thanks :)

I don't know if they want you to send it directly to their music department, but I did send a recording with my app.

I emailed to ask if I could send the common app arts supplement with a recording, since NU apparently doesn't have it's own arts supplement. This is the response I got.

Hello,

You are welcome to submit the Common Application supplement, if you'd like. Feel free to send the CD as well, but you will not get it back. Good luck!

Catfish, could you tell me where to get a copy of the common app arts supplement?

The general vibe I've been getting from NU is that they don't like receiving anything extra, but if you really would like to, it's OK. There's a whole quote on the admissions site saying "please do not send any unsolicited items, including CDs, art slides, etc."

I printed copies from the common app website, since that's what I'm using to apply to all my colleges. I'm not sure if you can get it if you aren't registered with common app.

Catfish,

I don't see it on the common app site. Could you tell where specifically on the site it is? Thanks.

sorry, nvm, i found it.
