<p>What kind of weight does being recruited add to your application? I mean, I'm pretty sure that I'll be able to get in on my own merits (national merit, IB, blah di dah) but just out of curiosity, with Vassar being a DIII school, do recruited atheletes get the "extra push" over into the admission pile?</p>

<p>(FYI, I'm a lacrosse recruit that was interested in Vassar before they began to recruit me...)</p>

<p>My D was recruited and got in, it seemed like she would get in anyway with her stats, but the coach said that while he could not help in a non-qualified athlete, he could add info to the app as a tipping factor.</p>
