<p>I am pretty sure my teacher from AP World History, would give me an amazing rec. However, I took this course in my sophmore year. Would it be advisable to use this teacher despite Stanford's advice to use a junior year teacher? I would love to include it as a third rec but Stanford made it pretty clear that the third rec should be from a non-academic source.</p>

<p>When I applied, I used a rec from my calculus teacher, whom I last had as a sophomore...and I got a likely letter too, so I would say that as long as the rec is outstanding, go ahead and use your history teacher.</p>

<p>and i doubt anyone would disagree.</p>
<p>if the sophomore teacher knows you better, go ahead with it- the rec will be more heartfelt and give the admissions offie a better portrayal of you.</p>
