<p>Is it absolutely mandatory to have an 11th or 12th grade teacher write your recs for Bowdoin? I have my 11th grade AP Psych teacher writing one and my other one will probably be written by my 10th grade honor English teacher. However, I still am very active in a CS club she advises and I know her the best out of all my teachers. Thanks for your opinions.</p>
<p>If she is the teacher who knows you best and will be able to write a more indepth and personal rec, then I think that would be better than trying to find just any other 12th grade teacher who might not care as much. </p>

<p>I think that they would prefer a teacher who taught you in tenth grade, but still interacts with you now and knows you the best over some one who simply knows you as their student. Make sure she points out that you still do stuff with her through the club, so she is not just relying on old memories.</p>
