Hi I recently committed to SLO and I’m filling out the housing app now. I’m an architectural engineer major which is in college of architecture. I want to live in the red bricks and was wondering if I have to live in the architecture building. I kind of want to live in the engineering building, do they allow this.
Yes. My kid is arch and lives in St. Lucia - the engineering red brick. She knew her engineering roommate before, and they agreed to live in the eng. vs. arch red bricks and were assigned accordingly. Probably want to talk to the housing department on the process to make this happen if you don’t have an eng. roommate in mind. FWIW, all in all she was okay with her decision, but found the experience a little isolating and would have preferred to be around her fellow “archies” her first year. Good luck and welcome to an outstanding architecture program!
