Reed College Interview..did I totally screw up?

So I just finished an interview at Reed and it went quite different than I had expected. My interviewer did not ask me once about my academic interests or questions about my personality. Rather, he asked me a series of involved, philosophical questions. I engaged in the discussion well but I left feeling really crummy and as if I have no substance. I felt like the interviewer was talking about his philosophical views more than I was....

from what I've read, prospective students at Reed usually have straightforward interviews despite how much the school sells it's intellectualism. Do all students at Reed have this attitude of trying to sell how smart they are? Or am I quickly jumping to conclusions?

Eh, in my experience that’s just how philosophy is. But what kinds of questions?
