How difficult is it to get into Reed as a transfer student?

My SAT was 790M/690CR/680W. My high school GPA was really inconsistant. It was very high freshman and sophmore years, but plumited junior and senior years due to health problems. My only noteworth EC was crew (rowing). I got a 5 on the AP US History test, and I got a 3 on the AP Bio test (I was very late and was only able to take the writing section of it).

I'm currently a freshman at one of UCONNs regional campuses, and my first semester GPA should be between 3.5 - 4.0. I'm taking Calc I, Psych I, Modern World History, Freshman English, and a freshman seminary. My schedule for next semester will be much more intensive and I am taking a class over winter break.

I don't have any outstanding academic achievments, but I really feel that given the right environment I will be able to reach my full potential. In addition to what I have to read for my classes (which isn't very much) I read a lot on my own (about 500-1000 pages a week, depending on how much time I have).

I'd like to transfer to a more intensive college, but the competitiveness of schools like MIT and UofChi kind of scares me (not that I could get into those colleges). Any advice for other colleges I might want to look into for transfering?
