So, I have gotten into the above three schools. I am looking for any input that would be helpful. To note, I am someone who is very interested in academia and, more specifically, philosophy. To that extent, I am looking for a school where the most prevalent subject of conversations is about academia.
Thanks for any help (btw, I have visited Reed).

Reed is the most intellectual of the three.
Portland is a lot nicer than Poughkeepsie, and there's more going on than the Hudson Valley.
Vassar is more well known on the east coast. Bard is artier, and has a conservatory. Both Reed and Bard are considered quirky, vassar less so.
When we visited Vassar the tour guide spoke about how they have shuttles to the mall on the weekends.
If you're looking for the most academic, I would go with Reed

Hmm...aghast, that is quite an interesting spin on "shuttles to the mall" sort of making it sound like that is what the students do for entertainment. In actuality the shuttle are a convenience provided to the Vassar community to various destination points in Poughkeepsie like the train station- to catch the metro to NYC; or to various other locations if a student doesn't have a car and for instance needs to buy some essentials that aren't available at the bookstore, or maybe to a community service location.

Thisisreal, if you are interested in studying philosophy at Vassar check out the course offerings for fall, my daughter is a freshman studying philosophy there and just loves it!!
