<p>Are they different from American letters of recommendation? Do they still talk about the applicant's personality? </p>

<p>I’m also planning on applying to a few British universities and by a few I mean like 2 lol… From what I read they mainly just look at your transcript. Recommendations don’t make/break an application anywhere unless your teacher calls you an idiot and gives reasons why, which he or she wont.</p>
<p>I still think it’s a factor though. they wouldn’t ask for it if it didn’t have any weight…</p>
