Alicante, how many kids total would you say were there when you attended the CHP presentation? Also, I should have asked you this a while ago, but do you feel better off having gone to CHP at UCI than if you had gone to Berk, LA, or Brown? I know thats kind of a subjective question, but I'm sure you have friends from those schools as well.

It's been a while, but I remember the lecture hall being full of people (including parents), so that would be around 300-350.

It's really hard to say if I feel better off going to UCI over another school, but all I can say is that I had a great time at UCI, got a great education, and am going to business school at a place that many graduates from Berkeley, UCLA, Brown, USC, Notre Dame, and UCSD would kill to attend. The one thing I missed out on was college football, that's it.

Alicante, why don't you disclose the name of your grad school? Or at least give us a list of "possibilities!" You've got me soo curious. =)

i think he said in a previous post - ucla

Yeah, I'm going to the Anderson School at UCLA...I just don't want to mention it too often since this is a UCI thread. When you are all ready to get MBAs, I'll be pushing Anderson, but for your Bachelor's Degrees, I'm here to push Irvine!

Regent's and Chancellor's aren't rolling, are they? Half the kids I know who got the scholarships are heading off to Caltech or Yale or some place similar, and I wonder if their 9k goes to anyone else.

Although I'm pretty sure in my case, I just flat out didn't get it. I had a really weird application so I can't really blame them. Still, it'd be a good thing to know.

Yeah I'd take theirs. Actually just an acceptance letter would look good to me right now. Why must you keep me waiting, UCI??

If someone doesn't take a scholarship I think it disappears.

coolman25 there are some of my friends got acceptance letter today, not me:( let's wait :'(

Yeah I heard too. Didn't get any results though :(

does it means we are so done @_@b

When can we expect financial aid letters? I can't start considering colleges until then

Try calling the Financial Aid office at (949) 824-8262. Make sure you have your UCI ID# handy when you call. Hopefully they can tell you something.
