To people who got Regents Scholarship

I know that some people have been sent mails that they are being considered for the Regent Scholarship. So I have a question for them.

Did you apply for scholarship when you were filling out the applications?
What I'm talking about is, in the Campus Choices Section of your applications, where it says Scholarships, did you apply for it beforehand?
Because I didn't apply at that time and I was wondering if it was because I didn't apply that I didn't get one or because I wasn't good enough to get one.

Like what it says above... did you apply for scholarship when you were applying to the UC's?

You don't really apply specifically for the scholarship. As long as you filled out and sent the application for the college, you were in the running for Regents. In fact, everyone who turned in an app was competing for Regents. It's just that the highest-achieving people receive them.

Yep. You are automatically considered for the scholarship without applying. Only the "creme of the crop" applicants receive interviews.

idk if major has anything to do with it though
