Whats the difference between a regional and a state universtiy?

bump please!

One difference is that Regional schools tend to draw most of their applicants form the area or nearby states as opposed to state schools which are more well known nationally (and are more ranked focused) and draw students from all over. Regional schools are still very good schools for the right applicant but for whatever reasons (financial, etc) may want to study closer to home.
