Regions - National Achievement & National Hispanic

Is recognition in these two programs by region? If YES, what are the regions AND which states are in each region?

This is from the College Board publication There are apparently four regions plus “other selection unit” which I think means overseas:

Connecticut, Delaware, District of
Columbia, Maine, Maryland,
Massachusetts, New Hampshire,
New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania,
Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia

Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan,
North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee,
West Virginia, and Wisconsin

Alabama, Arkansas, Florida,
Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi,
and South Carolina

Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado,
Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas,
Minnesota, Missouri, Montana,
Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico,
North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon,
South Dakota, Texas, Utah,
Washington, and Wyoming 39,762 1,036 339

Other Selection Units

If anyone knows the cutoff scores I sure would like to know them.

See page 8: http://www.nationalmerit.org/annual_report.pdf

Number of total NASF is by region but the cutoffs are by state. NMSC doesn’t release them and there is no other way to know the pool is too small.

Yoskis, are you sure about this? I’ve seen regional cutoff scores somewhere for the Achievement Award. Has there been a change?
