Registering for Classes?

Hello all,

I am trying to prepare my course shopping cart for the registration period coming up soon and happened to notice that almost all the PHED classes are marked as closed, including the ones I really wanted. If anyone has/is registering for undergrad classes this upcoming fall, did you notice this too? The registration period hasn't started yet, so I'm just confused as to why some classes are already marked as closed.

The registration period for incoming freshman hasn’t started yet. Other students were able to start registering for classes a long time ago.

Just a general note, unless a space opens up in a class you really want, I recommend not doing PHED until senior (or junior) year, so that 1) you have the class to sort of blow off steam during a time of busy classes and 2) you actually can register for the class because you have priority for it. It’s a bit off topic from the original question but it’s somewhat related and could be a useful thing to consider.

Very few PE classes will remain open for freshmen but if you really want to do one, choose a 1st half before it gets too too cold…especially for early morning. Remember you only need two semesters (4 halves) so it’s no problem to wait… Just keep watching SIS, chances are some will open but you need to be quick!
Remember all upperclassmen have already registered and many of those needed PE…

Thanks all for your responses! Hate to casually play the newb card but… (lol!)
ChiGuy123, excellent point! I think I’ll follow your plan of action and save Hatha Yoga for the upperclass years. :)

All I have to say is don’t take outdoor classes in spring semester.
