Registration Question

I'm planning to take the SAT Test on January 26, 2008. On the CB website it said that we could take the SAT Reasoning Test as well as three Subject Tests. Is this correct? Also, how do your register for the three Subject Tests? Once you register for the January 26 test day, have you have already registered for the Subject Tests? Or on the day of the test do you go to the testing center and they get the Subject Tests you prefer? How is this done?

I'm a junior, and this will be my first time, so I'm a little inexperienced. Thank you in advance!

I think you misunderstood. Either you take the SAT reasoning test, or you take up to three SAT subject tests. You cant take both together.

rb9109 is right. Re your question about subject tests, you sign up for specific tests when you register. However, on test day you're given a big book that contains all the tests, and you have to code on your answer sheet the numbers for the ones you're taking. So you can add/drop/change subject tests on the day of the test.

Good luck!

All right, I think I'm getting it now. Also, how much are the three Subject Tests?

Since you can't take the subject tests and the reasoning test on the same day, you'd have to register twice. That is, if you wanted to take the reasoning test in January and the subject tests in June, you'd go through the online registration process two times, once for each test date. Make sense?

You pay $20 for your first subject test and $8 for each additional one on the same date. Language tests can be taken with or without a listening portion; the listening portion is only offered in November and costs an extra $20.

So do you pay online with a credit card, just like you would the Reasoning Test? Thanks to everyone for the help!

Yup. You register exactly the same way - the only thing that's different is the test you select.

One more question; say I want to take one Subject Test in December and the rest in June. Do I have to pay twice?

yes. you have to register for each test date separately.

All right; thanks!
