Regret choosing UCLA

Malishka you shouldn't live in any place that need to commute by 405. Anyway, it doesn't matter now.

Tutoring is freaking expensive. :( I've just asked the price of a tutor and he said 30 bucks per hour, well, online or phone tutoring only. I googled his email name and he's really from UCSF. I don't know if it's worth.

just fail with style like me.

joking... just get a tutor.... pay the money.. get the grades and be happy.

wow, these bad experiences are real similar to the bad experiences i had at uci. i commuted also.

welcome to the uc system.

it does suck, but it is what it is. i would like to help you, private message me if you want.

you know what .... even if you do fail, like i probably will. whats is really the worst thing that will happen in life? ..... you take the classes again? you stay in school longer?

failing ... its just an experience like everythign else.... bad experience... granted.... but still. just an experience..... things keep going.. lifekeeps moving.

Of all the things in life.... school is really NOT the most important at all. ..

MrTrojanMan,

It's a bit disingenous to assume that UCLA = UCI.

Which course is this? Chem 20A? Econ 11?

All the courses I'm taking are upper division.

I can be done in 3 more quarters if I have to take 16 units.

^

You'll be done that fast?

yes, my major requires only 8 courses, now I've done 2. Besides major courses, I need 5 electives, and I've already done one. With the pace of 4 courses per quarter, I could be done in fall 07 if I enroll courses in summer.

I think that's the reason why I choose UCLA. If I chose UCR, I had to retake the ochem sequence. If I chose UCSD, I had to take ALL the lower division biology courses, because there are no equivalent biology courses between my CCC and UCSD. But I've finished 4 quarters of biology courses in my CCC. It seems UCSD hates CCC biology courses.

Hmmm...it looks like I can finish in 4 quarters if I continue to take at least 16 units per quarter (which I have to anyways). I don't think it's really worth it though. Not only that, there is a slight chance that I'm going to change my major.

oh really, nikkei? what are you thinking about changing it to?

Why would anyone WANT to get out in 4 quarters? I mean, I get not wanting to go into a 5th year, but especially as a transfer I wanted as much time at UCLA as I could get. I probably could've graduated at the end of winter quarter, but I didn't want to overload myself. Also, I've been graduating from things super young my whole life. I don't even turn 21 until the end of January. I wanted to give myself at least a semblance of a normal senior year.

haha...some people just can't stand school allie :p

Oh believe me, I'm completely beyond burnt out. I'm way ready to graduate and move on with my life. But at the same time, I recognize that I'm never going to get the whole "college experience" thing again and I'm trying to enjoy it while I can. I think graduating early, especially as a transfer, would be shorting yourself out of the last few months you have to be relatively un-grownup.

I agree, we're already losing out on so much as transfers. I really regret not entering as a freshman, lots of missed opportunities. Oh well, I'm here now, might as well make the best of what little time I have here.

ekn111,

It doesn't get much better than undergrad. Trust me.
